Dr. Ahmed Ameen Al-Obaidi

With over 20 years of experience in general dentistry, “Dr. Ameen” is devoted to walking beside his patients as they prioritize and strengthen their smiles. After earning his Diploma of Oral Surgery from Baghdad University, Dr. Ameen went on to achieve his Diplomate Certificate from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Diplomate Certificate from the American Board of Oral Implantologists. He also teaches at High Tech Dental Seminars, speaks on full-arch surgery in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, speaks internationally on implants, and is an annual speaker for the Ontario Dental Association.

He is proud to operate four successful practices across Ontario, including Barton Dental, Tomken Dental, and Redwood Dental Centre. He is also thrilled to have been named as one of the “3 Best Rated Cosmetic Dentists in Thunder Bay”!

Because he understands the in-depth and positive effects a confident smile can have on a person’s oral and overall wellness, Dr. Ameen is devoted to creating dental experiences that exceed expectations. Nicole

Office Manager

In addition to serving as our office manager, Nicole is also an instructor at High Tech Dental Seminars, working alongside Dr. Ameen. A fun, friendly, and knowledgeable leader, she guides and supports our team, fostering a tranquil, welcoming, and family-friendly practice dynamic. Nicole is known for her attention to detail and commitment to building relationships that are based on open communication and respect.

Catriona

Assistant Manager

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Catriona loves our city and being able to call it her home. As the assistant manager at Redwood Dental, she manages payments, insurance, and accounts with incredible attention to detail. Catriona is dedicated to creating a smooth and stress-free experience for every patient and fosters a positive and supportive team environment. During the winter months, she enjoys travelling to Florida with her husband and their dogs.

Hetvi

Dental Assistant (Level II)

Hetvi, who joined our clinic in 2024, moved from Amreli in Gujarat, India, to pursue her dream of practicing dentistry in Canada. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Hetvi values building genuine connections with her patients and is committed to doing all she can to make every experience positive and relaxing. Outside of her dental pursuits, she enjoys exploring Thunder Bay and engaging in community activities.

Dale

Dental Assistant (Level II)

After relocating to Canada from the Philippines, Dale joined our clinic in 2023 and is devoted to helping patients feel informed and empowered about their oral health. His approachable and friendly demeanour helps patients feel at ease, regardless of their oral health condition. When Dale’s not focused on supporting patients, he enjoys binge-watching his favourite series and embraces the outdoors, even braving the cold Canadian weather.

Samhita

Dental Assistant (Level II)

Samhita is committed to providing patients with seamless and efficient dental experiences that help them smile! Her care ideology revolves around trying to alleviate patient anxiety before, during and after treatment and fostering a calm environment. Samhita takes great pride in working with a supportive and kind-hearted team that shares her commitment to patient-centric care. When she's outside the office, Samhita enjoys watching movies, drawing, and going on walks.

Abagail

Registered Dental Hygienist

Abagail is passionate about helping patients discover new insights about dentistry while empowering them to take control of their oral well-being. Her approach consistently puts patients at ease, fosters trust, and ensures that they feel seen, respected, and valued in her care. Outside of the practice, Abagail enjoys spending her days paddleboarding (during the summer) and relaxing with her animals and partner.

Allie

Dental Receptionist

Allie is the friendly and enthusiastic face you see when you walk through our practice doors! From scheduling convenient appointment times to answering calls to handing insurance queries, she's here to help. Outside of our clinic, she cherishes spending quality time with her four children and enjoying the charm and community spirit of Thunder Bay, which she describes as a city with a small-town feel.

Mina

Registered Dental Hygienist

Originally from Iraq and raised in Jordan, Mina moved to Canada in 2016 and has been pursuing her dental career ever since. Focused on fostering open and honest communications, she does everything she can to help patients protect and beautify their smiles while ensuring they understand the incredible impact oral health has on overall health. In her words, "A floss a day keeps the dentist away!" In her free time, Mina enjoys playing video games. She also loves relaxing with her beloved cat, Azia.

Jaclyn

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jaclyn’s goal, now and always, is to provide every patient with efficient and personalized dental care. She is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain their best smiles, and she has a keen interest in supporting patients with gum disease by addressing and controlling the infection with proven techniques and oral health recommendations. She is a proud mother to her beautiful daughter, Penelope, and loves supporting her passion for arts at the dance studio.
